We’ve been exploring the various resources available to students in the Kairos community. This week, we are going to talk about the flexibility that self-paced learning provides for life and growth.
Life is full of demands—job, family, church, school, and perhaps even mountain biking (okay, that last one might just be a personal favorite). With so much competing for your time, it’s no surprise that sticking to a predetermined schedule for learning can feel daunting. That’s why we talked about rethinking the full-time student nearly 12 years ago!
While the idea of engaging in a classroom or Zoom session with peers is appealing, the realities of life often call for more flexibility. That’s why Kairos has created a robust library of self-paced learning experiences.
These asynchronous opportunities allow you to grow and develop proficiency in your area of study at a pace that fits your unique life circumstances. Working alongside your mentor team, you can engage deeply with your studies without the pressure of adhering to a fixed schedule set by the institution.
The library of self-paced learning experiences is extensive, covering topics from clinical mental health to leadership, biblical studies, theology, and beyond. These resources, thoughtfully organized by categories on our learning platform, are accessible to students in all programs. Your faculty mentor can recommend resources tailored to your specific goals, making self-paced learning a personalized and effective way to advance your education.
No matter what your schedule looks like, you can continue to learn, grow, and thrive with the flexibility that self-paced learning offers.
