Announcing New Partnership with Transforming Center

August 14, 2017

Sioux Falls Seminary believes theological education works best when it integrates with and utilizes learning and formational experiences from kingdom-minded partners.  We work diligently to find these partners and are excited to announce our new relationship with the Transforming Center in Wheaton, IL.

Dr. Ruth Haley Barton, the founder of the Transforming Center, brings a unique approach to spiritual transformation and is committed to developing discerning leaders who understand that the most important thing they bring to leadership is a transforming self.  Our partnership with the Transforming Center expands theological education beyond the walls of a seminary into something that builds on the life, ministry, and experiences of everyone who follows Christ.

Through Sioux Falls Seminary’s innovative philosophy of theological education, participants in a Transforming Community® can fully integrate their experience into a graduate certificate, Master of Arts (Bible and Theology), Master of Arts in Christian Leadership, Master of Divinity, or Doctor of Ministry.  Each option provides students with an opportunity to focus their studies in spiritual transformation by enabling them to work with a mentor team to customize the entire educational journey.  This structure allows students to pursue their degree or certificate while staying fully active in ministry, invested in their day-to-day lives, and committed to a life of missional engagement.

Each program is affordable, accessible from anywhere, relevant to the context of the student, and faithful to God’s call to a life of transformation.
