Over the next few weeks, we will explore some of the opportunities that Kairos students have for reflection and peer connections.
Why are opportunities for reflection and peer connections so important? At its core, Kairos is a journey of discipleship. Part of this journey includes walking alongside others and helping them process what God is up to in their lives and contexts. As Kairos students worldwide engage in their programs, they are immersed in a learning community and supported by mentors who walk alongside them. They also have opportunities–online and in person–to gather with peers, faculty, and mentors.
A few weeks ago, we offered online Reflection in Community (RIC) Sessions and an online Doctor of Ministry (DMin) Seminar. Both created an environment where students, regardless of their vocation or academic journey, could share and process their experiences.
In this three-part series, we will learn more about each of these special learning opportunities. Both next week and the week after, we will hear from students and other participants about how these recent gatherings have impacted their Kairos journey.
Join us next week. We will take a closer look at the recent October 21-23, 2024, online Reflection in Community Sessions. These sessions are an important aspect of our bachelor’s and master’s programs. See you then!
