Missio Seminary became Kairos University’s latest legacy partner on January 1, 2026! This move represents a significant step forward in its mission to provide affordable, high-quality theological education while preserving and enriching its rich heritage.

HISTORY

Missio Seminary began in 1971 in Hatfield, PA, as Biblical School of Theology, founded through the shared vision of Dr. Allan A. MacRae and Dr. Jack W. Murray. From the beginning, the seminary saw the need to reach beyond its doors with the Word of God. Biblical wanted to train more than just religious professionals by bringing seminary training to lay people with a mix of Bible and theology studies. In 2018, the seminary adopted a renewed missional vision and became Missio Seminary. Then, in 2019, the seminary relocated to Philadelphia. Missio continued to honor its heritage by training students to engage the culture and follow Jesus into the world.
