This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. – Jeremiah 6:16

Jo Ann’s life, calling, teaching, and ministry is a response to this biblical invitation

to intentionally inhabit the intersections of life
to develop clarity of spiritual sight and discernment, and the courage to act on that clear discernment
to recover ancient ways of knowing and following God with one’s whole mind, heart, soul, and strength
and to experience the fullness of God’s shalom, personally and interpersonally, as a result.
Jo Ann has attempted to walk in these ancient paths in many ways: by serving for eighteen years as senior pastor of a vibrant, innovative nondenominational church? as a spiritual director in private practice who also teaches, trains, and mentors other spiritual directors in a nationally-recognized spiritual direction training program? as a seminary and university instructor who seeks to integrate the heads and hearts, bodies and souls, of her students? and as a retreat facilitator and academic and special event presenter in varied church, parachurch, and educational learning environments.
