Last week, as part of this series on helping Kairos students navigate their educational journey, we talked about learning experiences with faculty and peers. This week, we are excited to explore opportunities for connecting face-to-face in the Kairos community!
If you love the idea of sitting face-to-face with fellow followers of Jesus who are also pursuing educational journeys at Kairos University, our Kairos Gatherings are the perfect opportunity for you.
These gatherings, particularly designed for students in most of our bachelor’s and master’s programs, often take the form of retreats, offering students the chance to learn together, reflect on their vocational experiences, and build deeper connections with one another. They also serve as a time for encouragement, support, and prayer. Often held in October, January, and May, these retreats take place in various locations across the United States, Canada, and around the world.
In the past year, we’ve hosted gatherings in Canada, Germany, and multiple places in the United States. Looking ahead, we will continue to expand the number and diversity of locations. The next in-person Kairos Gathering will be in January 2025 in Arizona. In March 2025, we will offer one in California. Another will take place in Wisconsin in August 2025.
In addition to these retreat-style gatherings, Kairos also offers in-person opportunities tied to a few scheduled learning experiences. For example, certain learning experiences offered through partners include a mix of online Zoom sessions and in-person gatherings. These hybrid opportunities provide the best of both worlds, combining the flexibility of online learning with the rich connections of in-person engagement.
If you desire the energy and connection that comes from gathering with fellow students, our in-person regional gatherings are an incredible way to experience the Kairos community.
To view a list of upcoming gathering opportunities, go to the Student and Mentor Resources page and then click on “academic calendar.”
Next week, we will take a closer look at opportunities for engaging scripture within the Kairos community. We’ll see you then.
