In Trust Series: Practicing Collaboration, Pt. 6 – A Collaborative Vision for Nazarene Theological Education

August 17, 2026

The In Trust Center for Theological Schools recently released a ten-part recorded series that was facilitated by Kairos President Greg Henson.

Through this series, leaders from across theological education explore the topic of Practicing Collaboration, reflecting on their experiences and sharing insights gained through their work. Each interview explores a unique aspect of collaboration in practice, offering thoughtful reflections, practical insights, and ideas that encourage others to pursue meaningful collaboration in their own contexts.

The sixth recorded session featured Jeren Rowell, president of Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Brent Peterson, dean of the College of Theology and Christian Ministries at Northwest Nazarene University.

As In Trust shared about this video in the series, “Dr. Jeren Rowell, president of Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Dr. Brent Peterson, dean of the College of Theology and Christian Ministries at Northwest Nazarene University, join Dr. Greg Henson to discuss an ambitious collaborative initiative emerging within the Church of the Nazarene. Through a network of Nazarene universities, the effort seeks to strengthen and reimagine graduate theological education. They reflect on the catalyst for the project, the challenges they have encountered, and the lessons they are learning along the way, including the vital role of relationships in sustaining collaborative work.”
